# Quickstart

Welcome to SkyReels API! Unlock state-of-the-art video models that let teams and creators generate cinematic, high-quality, and creatively rich AI videos with ease.

## Register or Sign In

To start using SkyReels API, you need an account. If you're new to SkyReels, click "**Sign In**" on the platform to register or log in.

## Create an API Key

Once you are logged in, navigate to the **Account → API Keys** page. Click "**Create new secret key**" to generate your API key.

Important: Your API key is a secret.

- Do not share it with others.
- Do not embed it in client-side environments (browsers, mobile apps).
- Store it securely (e.g., encrypted file, environment variables).

You will only see your API key once at the time of creation.
